What are components of a strong application?
• An explanation of why the project is needed in your school or community.
• An opportunity for youth to gain valuable skills and experience.
• Supported by at least one adult (such as a teacher, coach, counselor, youth worker, pastor, mentor, etc.).
• Community partnerships (perhaps a school, rotary club, church, volunteer association, etc)
• The potential to make a lasting impact in your school or community.
• How you and your team will use the funds.
Who will review my application?
The Run Far Selection Committee is comprised of non-profit leaders and youth mentors. We are a team of volunteers and we're excited to hear and support your creative ideas to improve your community!
When will I find out?
Applicants will hear back on their funding status within two weeks of submission. Applications are considered and funded on a “rolling,” first come-first served basis, so apply today!
Is there a deadline to begin my project?
We require Youth Leaders to kick-off their project within 30 days of funding. We'll support your planning and preparation with the Run Far Leadership Playbook.
What expenses are eligible for Run Far grants funding?
- Transportation, food, childcare, and other expenses that make project activities accessible to young people and other stakeholders
- Project materials and supplies directly related to the project
What expenses are NOT eligible for Run Far grants funding?
- Projects outside the United States
- Team salaries or payments
- Direct financial support to for-profit enterprises or political campaigns
- Funding for fundraising campaigns / endowments / capital projects
- Sponsorship of events and conferences unrelated to the proposed project
- Ongoing operating expenses that are unrelated to the proposed project
- Projects involving strictly religious purposes or partisan political activities
